Our Division One Women are Victorian Road Relay Champions
Julia Edwards, Tarli Bird and Belinda Dennett with their Gold Medals.
Sarah Lund in action.
Julia, Tarli, Belinda and Sarah all ran strongly to win the State Road Relay Title at Sandown Racecourse. Sarah, at 16 years of age, ran the fastest solo run of the day. See the girls on AthsVicTV and read about the team's great performance in Kellie's race report.
We wish our fellow Hunters the best of luck in Beijing!

You may recognise the person on the stamp. Yes, it's our very own Glenhuntly athlete, Peter Macknamara!
Another "Hunter", professional photographer, Delwyn Hewitt, was commissioned to take this photograph for Australia Post. Although Peter will now be known for his basketball prowess throughout the country, Peter had decided not to pursue his new found basketball career, and to stay competing in our sport of athletics.
Peter and Delwyn have always wanted to go to the Olympics, and worked out that despite a lifetime of dedication to training for athletics, they had to face reality, and a qualifying time just wasn't going to happen!! So, they get to go as stamps...Peter will get the back of his head licked by the population of Australia, and Delwyn was behind the camera capturing the action of this now famous basketballer!!
